If a building can be dismantled without sawing, this has a positive impact on the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of the dismantling process and, consequently, on the sustainability of the reused product. The Temporary Courthouse AmsterdamThe design of this fully reusable building is intended to allow it to be entirely disassembled and reassembled at a different location after its initial period of use. The architect (Cepezed) explored opportunities for reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials at every scale.Elements such as the fa%u00e7ade fabric, staircases, glass panels, and door handles were designed for reuse, as was the entire structural system.n Ronald Klein-Holte was Manager of Research & Development at VBI Ontwikkeling B.V., part of the Consolis Group in The Netherlands. A civil engineer by training, he has worked in structural engineering for over about 40 years, with a strong focus on the design and application of hollow core slab floor systems. Since joining VBI in 1987, he has led innovation in precast concrete solutions and actively contributed to European standardization, serving as convenor of CEN TC229/WG1/TG1 for EN 1168 on hollowcore slabs. He is a member of several Dutch and international technical committees, including fib Commission 6 (Prefabrication) and national bodies on concrete structures, fire safety, and reuse of structural elements. r.klein-holte@vbi.nlFig. 1: Details of the Temporary Courthouse Amsterdam: customized fastening system for the hollowcore slabs.KAP-STEEL-WAVE:THE PERFECT WAVE!10 YEARS OF KAP-STEEL-WAVEFLEXIBLE & FASTECOLOGICAL %u2013 LOW WEIGHTPRECISEfl exible from 180 mm to 600 mm wall thickness, corrosion protection class KSK1 to KSK42014 DIBT general approval2015 ETA European approval, among others200 g - 1000 g / waveThickness tolerance <-1 mm wall thicknessPROVEN A MILLION TIMES OVERKAPPEMA GmbHHolzhausen 2a | 83317 Teisendorf | offi ce@kappema.com | www.kappema.com
