Visitors to the 5,300 m%u00b2 exhibition space were able to experience new technologies, products, and materials designed to drive efficiency and boost productivity on the job site, with the aim of making concrete construction fit for the future.Umdasch Group is a future partner along the entire life cycle of a building object %u2013 from development, planning, construction, outfitting and ongoing operation, refurbishment through to demolition and recycling. At bauma, this holistic approach was brought to life through three key themes: Renewable Spaces, Future Spaces, and Human Spaces. In the Home for Future Spaces, The Umdasch Group Ventures innovation hub showcased modern construction methods and technologies that make construction more efficient, sustainable, and flexible. One of the most forward-looking construction methods is 3D Concrete Printing %u2013 but with a distinctly different approach: Instead of printing entire buildings, Umdasch Group focuses deliberately on the precise production of modular components that are structurally and materially optimized. Rather than replacing traditional construction, 3D concrete printing is intended to strategically complement it %u2013 specifically where modular solutions offer distinct advantages: shorter construction times, high dimensional accuracy, reduced material usage, and significantly greater flexibility in planning and execution. Especially in combination with established technologies such as efficient formwork, this creates innovative solutions that resonate with both clients and construction companies. At Umdasch Group, printing is done using real concrete. The concrete mixes, composed of locally sourced raw materials and aggregate sizes of up to 11.2 millimeters, enable the production of robust and durable components. Compared to more cement-rich mortar mixtures, this results in lower material consumption and reduced CO2 emissions. \ of this not only ensures significantly greater durability but also meets established construction standards %u2013 a clear advantage over mortar-based systems,\con, Chief Growth Officer of U m d a s c h Group AG.
