The approach builds directly on the scientific groundwork laid out in Cotardo%u2019s dissertation, which proposed a model-based methodology for identifying early warning signs of pipeline blockages using live pressure and piston motion data [14]. The integration of such inline analysis into the Huckepack system marks a critical advancement in practical, real-world applications of predictive monitoring concepts for safe and efficient concrete pumping. The system was capable of detecting impending blockages up to 20 seconds before they led to noticeable complications, such as rising pressure.
