Since 2017, millions of precast concrete elements will have been produced in a rapidly changing economic and regulatory environment. Between adaptation and agility, Stradal and Cerib have worked and are still working to build the future of transport in the Paris region.10 years of responsible innovation: a cross-section of projects that are transforming the concrete industry. A retrospective with two voices - CSR and QSE communication - led by Groupe H2d and Cerib to illustrate how innovation, sustainability and social commitment are reshaping our industrial practices.Decarbonisation, circular economy and digital: two exemplary pilot projectsThe Juliper project (funded by the French government as part of France 2030, operated by ADEME), towards the concrete industry factory of the future, presented by Alfi Technologies. The project involves designing and installing a pilot concrete block manufacturing line, while developing its digital twin. Its aim is to massively reduce production waste, the raw material used and thus carbon emissions. The Studios TSF 77 project for a circular economy at the heart of film sets. Opening in 2024 in Seine-et-Marne, TSF Studios 77 embodies a new generation of sustainable film studios. Covering 52 hectares, this backlot reproduces the streets of Paris in a modular, reusable and low-carbon way.Interactive workshops to showcase tomorrow%u2018s trends and innovations%u2022 BIM data at the heart of B%u00e9ton Pr%u00e9fa, through the work carried out by Cerib to collect technical data and model concrete products on a digital mock-up.%u2022 The new specification for concrete construction systems with a reduced carbon footprint: materials & material economy levers, which enables construction players to establish a common language for comparing constructive systems for concrete structures and an exploration of several examples of applications and the value of the functional unit.%u2022 Risk prevention and management to improve safety in the workplace. Musculoskeletal disorders are a central concern in the concrete industry; the Exattrac study aims to analyse the ability of exoskeletons to contribute to user comfort and the attractiveness of jobs in material handling positions in the construction sector.%u2022 Shaping tomorrow through educational innovation that promotes employability and professional development at the local level. Addressing the challenges and developments in the concrete industry (reduction of the carbon footprint, bio-sourced, local or low-carbon materials, prevention of occupational risks, safety and responsibility) through vocational training.%u2022 Urban resilience and responsible water management: What concrete solutions does precast concrete offer, through the commitment of manufacturers and Cerib, for effective water and sanitation management, based on five key areas?%u2022 Circular economy & resource recovery, by Cerib experts and NeoCem, which has developed a low-carbon claybased cement to transform waste into resources.%u2022 Optimisation of the clinkerisation process - Reduction of the carbon impact, by Syensqo, the IMT Nord Europe engineering school and Cerib, with on the one hand a fluorine-rich mineral waste from the manufacture of electric batteries, and on the other the production of a clinker requiring fuel to reach the very high temperatures needed to synthesise cement, ultimately transforming this waste into a raw material reducing the environmental impact of cement production.%u2022 Building differently with geosourced and bio-sourced materials: concrete studies. Presentation of Cerib%u2018s work on the mechanical and hygrothermal performance of alternative materials: tests, simulations and feedback for sustainable and controlled design of structures.Conference entitled %u2018B%u00e9ton: la travers%u00e9e du temps (Concrete: Standing the Test of Time)%u2019 given by Antoine Picon, professor of 20th and 21st century architecture and technology, who shared his perspective on the history of concrete and the challenges it faces in the future in light of environmental and social issues. An open-air showroom showcasing the innovations of the concrete industryThroughout the day, a village brought together 40 exhibitors and an open-air showroom showcased the innovations of a dozen precast concrete manufacturers: Alkern, Befree, Carsey 3D, Capremib, Edycem, Groupe PBM, Muance, Rector, Stradal, Sotubema, around 4 themes: Decarbonisation, circular economy and resource recovery / Urban resilience and responsible water management / Environmental and societal commitment / Mixed materials. The next edition of Expertise & Construction Day will take place on 2 July 2026. nFURTHER INFORMATIONCerib1 rue des Longs R%u00e9ages28230 %u00c9pernon, FranceT +33 2 37 18 48 00www.cerib.com, www.expertiseetconstruction.com
