PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTS138 CPI %u2013 Concrete Plant International %u2013 5 | 2025 www.cpi-worldwide.comTwo wall thicknesses, one formworkAnother example of flexibility is a new formwork solution with two front panels of different heights, which was developed for the efficient production of components with varying wall thicknesses. In the project shown here the formwork is used for the production of elements for the installation of heat pumps. However, the possible applications of the formwork solution are theoretically unlimited.Based on the robot-compatible SAS formwork system (Standard Automatic Shuttering), this special variant can be used on both sides and, as mentioned at the beginning, is fitted with front panels of different heights. For maximum precision, rubber lips prevent concrete from seeping underneath due to unevenness of the casting table. Thanks to ergonomically positioned handles on the front sides and crane mounts on the top, the shuttering profiles are ideally suited for both manual handling and crane operation.Steel front instead of plywood also on the MST Universal plywood beamThe universal plywood beam (MST) is the preferred solution for use with plywood. Less common, but just as effective, is its use with a steel front - an option that was provided for from the outset by a specially developed extension set. This extension for steel fronts has been revised and is now available for heights from just 100 mm. The MST retains its proven advantages in this configuration: easy handling, low weight, double-sided use and stackability. Although the steel front adds a little more weight, it scores points with a longer service life and greater precision in chamfers and profiling. The MST thus offers a flexible and durable solution for different formwork requirements. The examples shown here illustrate the almost unlimited application possibilities for magnetic formwork solutions. New developments that are consistently orientated towards the needs of the user make a significant contribution to improving efficiency in precast concrete element production. It is not just about technology, but also about a deep understanding of the processes within the factory - from cycle times to shuttering and reconfiguration. Only on the basis of such an understanding can solutions be created that truly make a difference. nFURTHER INFORMATIONRatec GmbH Karlsruher Str. 32 68766 Hockenheim, Germany T +49 6205 940729 info@ratec.org www.ratec.orgShuttering profiles with front plates of different heights MST with steel front
