Once the mould is fully assembled, a 3D Laser Tracker inspection validates compliance with specifications. At this stage, it is possible to produce trial concrete rings to verify the behavior of assembled segments. Indeed, while each part may conform individually, the accumulation of tolerance can generate deviations in the complete ring.To simplify this step, CBE has developed a digital innovation: the virtual ring. Created from a 3D scan of each mould%u2019 s surfaces, it allows the reconstruction of a complete ring digitally and the extraction of all necessary measurements. This process confirms correct mould sizing while archiving the data and eliminates the need to produce real concrete rings. Finally, another series of verifications is carried out at the client%u2019s production site upon mould installation. This ensures that no variations occur during transport and, if necessary, allows quick adjustment before production starts.Concrete ring produced at CBE%u2019s production site in L%u2019Ile-Bouchard (FR)Stack of CBE precast segments handled by an Acimex storage clampTolerance study at CBE%u2019s Mould Design Office in Saint-Avertin (FR)Complete inspection of a segment mould with Laser Tracker at the Ile-Bouchard (FR) production workshop
