Europe's first urban district in wooden construction will be a milestone in modern architecture and resource-saving construction. A central component of this project is the BT-Spannschloss%u00ae system, which is being used in a largescale timber hybrid building. This innovative connection technology enables fast assembly, very high stability and an efficient combination of the building materials wood and concrete. The successful symbiosis of modern technology and natural building materials is demonstrated at the construction site of Europe's first urban district in wooden construction in Vienna's Leopold Quarter, north-west of the city centre. For a 10-storey office building on Obere Donaustra%u00dfe, an innovative connection technology is being used that enables fast assembly and very high stability.Advanced timber hybrid construction with the BT turnbuckleAround 8,000 prefabricated elements will be used for the construction of the office building, which will be precisely prefabricated and assembled on site. The total quantity of wood amounts to 6,600 m%u00b3. The 20,000 m%u00b2 of cross-laminated timber elements are a central component of the construction, ensuring stability and durability. In addition, 20,000 m%u00b2 of timber-concrete composite floors are being used, which offer an efficient combination of timber and concrete and thus optiSustainable innovations for the future: Wood and concrete in combinationB.T. innovation GmbH, 39116 Magdeburg, GermanyLeopold Quartier %u2013 ceiling elements already mountedLeopold Quartier %u2013 Installation of window front
