Prof. Stefano Pampanin from the University of Rome (Italy), an internationally renowned expert in this field, will lead a workshop titled %u201cThe next generation of earthquake-resistant precast concrete structures: opportunities for North Africa.%u201dAnother highlight is the workshop %u201cProduction of concrete products - what to consider under factory conditions?%u201d In his first appearance at ICCX North Africa, Prof. J%u00fcrgen Oecknick of PSA Zurich Area GmbH will share insights drawn from over 40 years of international experience in the building materials industry and as a university lecturer in construction materials process engineering. Using practical examples, he will explain, among other topics, how targeted raw material selection can lead to cost-optimized production and discuss possibilities and performance characteristics of curing methods.A hands-on workshop focusing on admixtures and additives in concrete production will be conducted by Wolfram Schmidt from BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Germany) and Angela Tetteh Tawiah from the IBU, Institute for Construction and Environment, OST, Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. This session will delve into the practical application and benefits of using additives and admixtures to improve concrete performance.Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) will also be spotlighted at this year%u2019s event in Casablanca.
