The Lagrande Group, as the developer and project manager, is building eleven of the planned thirteen buildings, with degewo constructing the remaining two. The design by the architectural firm Tchoban Voss Architekten envisions six- to seven-story residential buildings on the approximately 11,000 square meter site, arranged around a quiet, green courtyard. A total of 256 mostly barrier-free residential units will be created, ranging in size from 35 to 101 square meters.Certified recycled aggregate from demolished residential high-rise buildings used for new constructionIn the mid-1960s, two high-rise residential buildings made of precast concrete were built on the site. By 2019, when the Lagrande Group took over the property, these buildings were found to be beyond repair or renovation and were demolished by early 2023. The demolition of the towers and the recycling of the recovered concrete were handled by a subsidiary of Heidelberg Materials Mineralik, the Berlin-based RWG Group. The concrete debris from the towers was processed into high-quality, certified recycled aggregate and then reused in the concrete for the new construction project.
