CONCRETE PRODUCTS & CAST STONEwww.cpi-worldwide.com CPI %u2013 Concrete Plant International %u2013 2 | 2026benchmark for years and is playing a key role in shaping the shift towards more sustainable production processes. From wood to high-tech plastic boardsThe history of Wasa Uniplast Ultra is closely linked to the structural change in concrete block production. While wooden boards used to be the standard, the requirements for durability, dimensional accuracy and process reliability have continuously increased. The first Uniplast generation followed in the early 1990s %u2013 made from recycled plastic.A milestone in Wasa's history was reached in 2007 with the introduction of Wasa Uniplast Ultra. A glass fibre-reinforced solid plastic board that does not require additional steel profiles. This innovation significantly increased load-bearing capacity while reducing weight and further improving production properties due to the homogeneous material structure. The smooth transmission of vibrations ensures faster and better compaction, even at high cycle times and under the toughest conditions. The base board has excellent production properties due to its homogeneous basic properties %u2013 consistent throughout the entire service life of the board.Technical advantages in everyday productionUniplast Ultra consists of homogeneous solid plastic mixed with glass fibres. Depending on customer requirements, this is calculated individually at Wasa and adjusted accordingly. The addition of glass fibres gives the production board high flexural strength, enormous impact resistance and consistent vibration transmission during the demanding production process in a concrete block machine.Cooling process for freshly produced Ultra boards. After being removed from the solid steel mould, the board skin has a temperature of approx. 40%u00b0 C. At this point, the core of the board is still liquid. The natural cooling process at room temperature allows the solid plastic board to reach its ideal hardness.Machinesmade inGermany.
