To fully meet the resulting management requirements at the interfaces between the various departments, employees must work cross disciplinary. The necessary knowledge and experience can be acquired through specially developed training programmes.Over a decade ago, PSA Zurich started filling this market gap of training and education programs for building materials industry personnel. The basis for this is formed by multilingual learning content (German, English, Russian) for the implementation of efficient methods in the areas of raw material management, production and quality assurance. From identifying the possible application of final products to modern sales strategies, it should ultimately be possible to map the requirements of a holistically networked corporate structure in a practical manner. (Fig. 1). As part of the implementation, the group of participants appointed in advance by the company management is set up on an interdisciplinary basis, i.e. specialists from different departments complete an identical training programme. The PSA Zurich training programme is exclusively solution-oriented. The courses are based on extensive practical experience gained by the Zurich-based consulting firm. In doing so, the company completely refrains from passing on generally applicable generic principles. Instead, participants acquire a sophisticated but also comprehensive range of specialised knowledge. This can result in a number of interesting side effects:a) The complex training programme eliminates deficits in the participants' existing training profile.
