PSA training programmes As part of the training programme, the most important areas of application in the building materials industry are discussed and systematically explored in greater depth through lectures, practical case studies, exercises and exams. In addition to manufacturing aspects, the compulsory programme includes the following main topics.1.) Raw material management and product performance2.) Integral information technology for process-orientated parameter identification (IIPP)3.) Performance SellingThe content is precisely tailored to the requirements profile of the following areas of the building materials industry:%u2022 Cement%u2022 Ready-mixed concrete%u2022 Concrete products and precast concrete elements%u2022 Dry mortar%u2022 Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)The training of employees from different specialist areas according to a holistic approach not only serves to focus on the company's key objectives. According to PSA Zurich's practical experience, the quarterly two-day courses also strengthen the cohesion of the temporarily formed team. After attending just a few events, the members find a common level of communication, which can be used as a basis for solving cross-divisional problems. 1) Raw materials management and product performanceThe development and production of raw materials for the building materials industry are closely linked to an application-based segmentation of the market (Fig. 2) [1].It is of fundamental importance whether the respective building material is to be offered according to the \\ principle\towards the performance requirements of the customer's production process, sales are carried out according to the 'descriptive' principle, based on standards, guidelines and datasheets. However, market segmentation can only ensure the effective use of building materials in construction if their exact application is determined precisely, from the market segment via application field to the product line (Fig. 3) [1]. For this reason, the exact property profile of the building material required for the respective process technology resulting from the segmentation is worked out according to the cost/benefit criteria as part of the PSA training programme using real design examples. The data material generated in this way is then used to develop a product market strategy for the sale of cement, admixtures and aggregates according to the performance principle. The sequence of steps is defined as follows on the basis of clearly defined plant standards: Fig. 2: Segmentation of the building materials market according to PSA
