To address this need, Edilmatic has conducted both numerical simulations and experimental tests on the MT system, with the aim of providing designers with technical guidance that meets project requirements and performance expectations.One of the main problems is the lack of in-depth studies on the behavior, in terms of strength, stiffness and ductility, of support systems subjected to seismic actions. To meet these needs, Edilmatic has carried out both numerical and experimental analyses on the MT system, in order to offer designers a guideline that can meet the design needs of the client.The Edilmatic support system analyzed consists of the following components:A three-dimensional finite element model was developed, incorporating a portion of the cladding panel, a portion of the column, and the complete support assembly. The model used more than 12,000 eight-node tetrahedral elements, with element sizes ranging from 5 mm to 50 mm, to ensure a detailed and accurate representation.The analysis considered material nonlinearity as well as the contact interactions between the panel and the support system.
