PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTSwww.cpi-worldwide.com CPI %u2013 Concrete Plant International %u2013 6 | 2025designers, resource savings thanks to optimised geometries (up to 30 % less material used) and cost-effectiveness thanks to reusable core elements. An illustrative example is the demonstrator produced in the project in the form of a planter. The planter has internal undercuts for the integration of LED modules and does not require any demoulding bevels. After concreting, the rigid core could be taken out and the flexible PU core simply removed. For validation, the flexible core including the wooden core was combined with a conventional GRP mould, prepared for the concrete casting and coated with suitable formwork wax, after which the precast concrete part was cast with a suitable self-compacting concrete mixture. After 18 hours, the twopart core could be demoulded. The rigid core was taken out first. The flexible PU core was then demoulded so that no demoulding bevels were necessary inside the concrete element.3D scan and evaluation of the milled formwork elementBETA Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.
