Infrastructure projects and technological advancements continue to drive the sector, supporting stable growth prospects. Recent studies highlight the key advantages of precast solutions %u2013 such as shorter construction times, better cost control, and reduced environmental impact %u2013 which are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, market analyses confirm a positive outlook fueled by rising investments and innovative materials like UHPC.Brazil's economic situation this year is a bit more complex than in 2024, due to the increase in the Selic rate, the benchmark interest rate for the Brazilian economy, which currently stands at over 10%. However, while this situation did not help boost this industry, investments in the construction sector continued to improve, especially in infrastructure projects, which allows us to affirm that, overall, the end of 2025 will be confirmed as a positive year for the precast concrete sector. The president of ABCIC Brazil (Associa%u00e7%u00e3o Brasileira da Constru%u00e7%u00e3o Industrializada de Concreto representing the Brazilian Precast Industry) recently stated that despite uncertainties in international markets that continue to indirectly affect the national economy, the outlook for the coming years remains positive. In the infrastructure sector, a significant portion of the approved projects already have contracts for the purchase of precast elements, and their construction is underway. This explains the positive result of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) Infrastructure Business Confidence Index, which remained virtually stable between January and June of this year. Within the same sector, infrastructure is one of the best performers, increasing by 2.5 points between January and June.Brazilian companies are aware of the challenges they face but remain optimistic about the medium-term outlook.A second survey, conducted by the same FGV and published last year, found that among the various factors mentioned by respondents that explain this steady growth in this industrial sector in Brazil are shorter construction times (81.5%), less labour on site (71.6%), greater cost control (66%), less waste A promising future for the Brazilian precast industryDriven by Infrastructure and EfficiencyMauro NogarinThe freelance journalist established a strong partnership with the Italian magazine Focus, publishing articles on European scientific research.
