And today, this last factor, in accordance with the country's current regulations to reduce the environmental impact of the construction sector, plays a fundamental role in achieving the carbon neutrality mandated by the government. A benefit that modern precast concrete structural production systems can offer.Another survey conducted by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), commissioned by Abcic, revealed that companies producing precast concrete confirmed growth in their production during 2024, following a 16.8% decline in 2023 compared to the previous year. However, the construction materials industry recorded a 5.8% drop in GDP compared to 2022.The data collection is based on a survey of all ABCIC member companies, which represent approximately 65% of the formal market, including foundations, facades, and precast concrete structures. The study also stated that in 2023, precast concrete production volume was approximately 667,000 m%u00b3, resulting in an average production of 16,266 m%u00b3 per company.Another factor contributing to the growth of the precast industry was data centre projects, where precast concrete structures proved crucial to meeting the deadlines and safety requirements of these buildings.Regarding labour force employment, the data shows that the number of employees remained stable, with 7,750 people employed in this sector in 2025.Increasing investments in the real estate market and infrastructure in 2023 contributed to the growth of precast concrete construction projects.
