In other words, the support system must allow the structure to deform while safeguarding the functionality and safety of the fa%u00e7ade.Despite the relevance of these aspects, the dynamic and nonlinear behavior of precast concrete buildings with external cladding panels is still not fully documented. In particular, detailed studies addressing the performance of panel support systems in terms of strength, stiffness, and ductility under seismic loading remain limited. This gap highlights the need for connection systems specifically designed, tested, and validated for seismic applications.Within this framework, Edilmatic developed the MT cantilever support system, conceived to provide a reliable, easy-to-install technical solution capable of meeting the seismic safety requirements of precast buildings. The MT system allows the installation of fa%u00e7ade panels in different configurations, adapting to the main construction typologies used in the precast concrete sector.Panels can be installed externally to the load-bearing structure, with connection devices primarily subjected to out-of-plane actions, or placed between columns, with connections arranged along the vertical edges and mainly stressed in the plane of the fa%u00e7ade.
