PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTS140 CPI %u2013 Concrete Plant International %u2013 4 | 2025 www.cpi-worldwide.comAt bauma in Munich, Beta Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG showcased pioneering solutions for precast concrete production. Particular interest was drawn to the company%u2019s new steel moulds for slot-drains and cantilever retaining walls (precast L-walls). The spotlight was especially on the flexibility of the moulds, which allows for the production of various precast element sizes, as well as on their use in combination with the proven rotating lifting beam, which greatly simplifies the demoulding process. Both aspects were received very positively by visitors.Steel mould for L-shaped retaining walls With Beta%u2019s innovative moulds for L-shaped retaining walls, L-walls can be produced efficiently and precisely in a wide range of dimensions and wall thicknesses, with smooth exposed surfaces on all sides. Depending on the size of the elements, up to 16 L-walls can be manufactured simultaneously. Wall thicknesses from 80 to 250 mm, heights from 550 to 4,050 mm, and widths up to 8,000 mm are possible, also in combination (mixed dimension production). Flexibly positionable dividers allow for virtually any desired configuration of height, width, length, and wall thickness. The integrated vibration technology ensures uniform compaction and high-quality surface finishes.Innovative rotating featureA standout feature of the mould is the innovative rotating mechanism: For demoulding, the inner core of the mould is lifted and rotated, so that the L-walls are automatically positioned upright on their base. The delicate exposed surfaces remain untouched, no separate rotation step is needed. Using special dividers, matching corner elements can also be produced in all required dimensions with the same mould. The dividers are positioned using bolts or magnets, enabling a wide variety of sizes and size combinations for L-wall production. This mould offers maximum design flexibility, high efficiency, and a significant simplification of the production process. The angle retaining wall moulds are generally suitable for all types of concrete. For optimal compaction, the form can be equipped with external vibrators and a suitable control system.Innovation meets practiceBeta Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.
