In close collaboration with the customer, Construx-Weckenmann tries to find the most appropriate mould which is in accordance with the technical specifications, which fits the customers%u2019 budget and which copes with the dimensions and numbers of precast elements the customer wants to cast. Since 2003, Construx-Weckenmann conceived a series of moulds for precast concrete stairs. Construx-Weckenmann produces a wide range of intelligent stair moulds, suitable for different purposes, all with fully adjustable risers and goings:%u2022 Flexcaster: to cast stairs horizontally, top-down%u2022 Sidecaster: to cast stairs on their side%u2022 Combicaster: for winding stairs and special shapes%u2022 Upcaster: to cast stairs on a ramp, uprightThe type of steps can be straight, with a cut-back or with a cutback and a nose, and most of the moulds can be made in widths up to 4m and more. Top and bottom landings are custom-made in a wide variation of lengths and widths. The new Flexcaster and Sidecaster, fully automated horizontal and vertical mouldsThe Construx-Weckenmann Flexcaster and the Sidecaster are stair moulds with an ingenious system of combined synchronized adjusting and positioning of all risers and goings, in one single action. The top and bottom landings can be adjusted by means of a synchronized spindle system. The above actions make it possible to change the type of stairs in less than 15 minutes, but it still requires measuring skills and the correct sequence in operating the moulds. To meet the demand of customers asking for a fool-proof version of the Flexcaster and the Sidecaster, Construx-Weckenmann invented and patented a next generation of stair moulds. As an option, the new Flexcaster and the Sidecaster moulds have all adjustments fully automated and controlled by means of a PLC. The operator uses a touchscreen to enter the riser and the going.
