PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTSwww.cpi-worldwide.com CPI %u2013 Concrete Plant International | India Edition %u2013 1 | 2026 71The most common numbers of steps are 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26. Obviously, these large numbers are often chosen to be able to cast 2 short flights simultaneously. The standard adjustability of the goings is from 200mm to 320mm, and the adjustable of the risers is from 150mm to 200mm. Anyhow, seen each mould is made to measure, other minima and maxima are possible. Each step has a straight front which lies back 21mm in order to insert plywood, cut to measure. The fronts of the risers have incorporated magnets and timber blocks so the customer can either screw a 21mm plywood onto the blocks or prepare 18mm cut plywood screwed on 3mm steel plates which can be fitted onto the magnets. Per mould, Construx-Weckenmann provides 2 sets of these 3mm steel laser-cut plates. The customer can get the same feature by having the support plates falling back 18mm. In that case he will be using 18mm plywood strips or 3mm metal plates onto which 15mm plywood strips are screwed. As an option, the fronts of the steps can be made articulating in order to be able to produce straight steps or steps with a cutback. In case the customer wants to produce flights with steps with cut-back and nose, he can do this by using triangular magnetic chamfers which can overlap an opening of maximum 40mm.The throat of the Flexcaster has a standard adjustability of up to 250mm, by means of a side-form on one side of the mould. As an option, the Flexcaster can be made tiltable, which simplifies demoulding, cleaning and fitting steel. In order to work safely and easily, Construx-Weckenmann provides full steel working platforms. In case the customer doesn%u2019t take the optional PLC-controls, the angle of the landing panels is made manually adjustable by means of a very precise spindle system. Most of the time, the landing panels have the same length as the width of the mould, or are made a little longer, the exact length is chosen by the customer. The panel for the top landing sits on a carriage and can be inserted at every position after removing a few steps. If the top landing carriage is set up at the rear of the mould, it will be linked to the last axle, thus travelling back and forth when the goings and risers are hydraulically adjusted. The new Construx-Weckenmann Flexcasters and Sidecaster are 2 examples of Construx-Weckenmanns%u2019 next generation precast moulds. All moulds are tending towards fool-proof, safe, labour-friendly and have ergonomic design.Top view and 3D view of a Sidecaster, 2150mm high, 26 steps, 1500mm long landing panelsSidecaster in operation, 2150mm high, 26 steps, 1500mm long landing panels
